About Cynthia Carvajal

Cynthia Carvajal Art Curation and Design was born from a deep love for art and an exceptional eye for design. With over a decade of experience, Cynthia has curated striking collections and transformed spaces with her distinct artistic vision.

Her journey began as a Costume Shop Manager at San Diego Junior Theatre, where four years of working with textiles and sewing ignited her passion for fashion and design. Seeking to expand her creative horizons, Cynthia moved to New York, designing for SOTU Productions and contributing to award-winning work, including a CLIP Award for costume design in a Phonak commercial.

While in New York, Cynthia also founded Ocean Lifeline, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the arts. She curated multiple art fundraisers, securing gallery spaces, coordinating in-kind donations, marketing events, organizing entertainment, and orchestrating large-scale art auctions that drew hundreds of attendees.

Cynthia later relocated to Austin to launch her own fashion brand, Miss Nova Bliss. During this time, she also worked with the City of Austin, teaching over 100 teens how to sew both by hand and machine. She helped curate end-of-year showcases at Mexic-Arte and the Dougherty Arts Center, reinforcing her passion for mentoring youth and fostering community through the arts.

From curating fine art to designing textiles, Cynthia’s expertise is evident in every project she takes on. Cynthia Carvajal Art Curation and Design is dedicated to bringing beauty, creativity, and artistic excellence into every space.
